Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be proficient in bricklaying, as well as experience with various hand tools and power tools. This role involves working on diverse projects, including residential and commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to specifications and blueprints.
• Prepare surfaces for bricklaying by cleaning and applying mortar or other bonding agents.
• Measure and cut materials to ensure precise fitting and alignment.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete masonry tasks.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and welders, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
• Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in masonry, specifically in bricklaying techniques.
• Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications accurately.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Previous experience as a carpenter or knowledge of roofing is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
