Carpenter/Joiner

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery and carpentry, demonstrating proficiency in various hand and power tools. This role involves working on diverse projects, including residential and commercial applications, where attention to detail and craftsmanship are paramount.

Responsibilities

• Construct, assemble, and install wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
• Perform joinery tasks such as fitting doors, windows, and cabinetry with precision.
• Execute basic masonry work as required for structural support or aesthetic purposes.
• Conduct electrical installations related to joinery projects when necessary.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including carpenters and electricians, to achieve project goals.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using various hand tools (e.g., chisels, saws) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders).
• Strong understanding of joinery techniques and carpentry principles.
• Ability to read technical drawings and plans accurately.
• Knowledge of basic electrical work related to joinery is advantageous.
• Familiarity with masonry techniques is a plus for certain projects.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
